A 5.0 magnitude earthquake just shook Ontario and Quebec June 23 2010!
The temblor hit at 1:41 p.m. ET south of Echo Lake, Que., 60 kilometres north of Ottawa near the Ontario border, and was felt across southern and eastern Ontario and western Quebec ? as well as in some U.S. states, including Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Vermont, New Jersey and New York.

Howd it feel ... Howd it feel feeling your first quake? Since you were far it was more like a swaying motion wasnt it. Yea we get that a lot here. About 50% of our quakes happen way down south were nobody lives or a bit east in the desert. Every now and then we'll get a good on, like? a 6.0, in a populated area. When theyre far away, the swing, when theyre close, they rattle, then boom and rattle the same way but way more violent. Sometimes theyre fun, sometimes you become concerned.

I was on a school ... I was on a school trip in Ottawa and we were? in the war museum. The lady was talking about how the nazi's were bombing their Hospital and the room started trembling. We thought they were playing a trick but it was the actual earthquake!

i was in gatneu ... i was in gatneu Quebec at the time, i was in a bus it felt like we were on a little bit of a un? even rode, but we didnt think anything if it becuase there was construction all over. We only found out later when we arrived at the musume and everyone was outside.
